Our hand-distilled aromatic Rosemary water is derived from Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) shrubs grown in Devon, and has many uses. The plant is rich in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory constituents. Rosemary has been used since classical times as a stimulating herb reputed¬† to strengthen memory and to improve digestion. Traditionally, distilled rosemary became known as the Queen of Hungary’s water and was popular as a cure-all remedy. Other uses have included promoting hair growth and as an analgesic for stiff joints. We harvest the fresh evergreen branches and leaves and distil to produce a sweet-smelling water. Following distillation in small batches a small amount of alcohol is added for further preservation. This is an excellent remedy for inflamed skin arising from insect bites and other minor joint and skin problems. The distilled water can be used as an antiseptic wipe. Supplied in a 25 ml bottle. A refillable 10 ml spray container is also available.
