This preparation was created to help provide a way to manage dry, thin or lifeless hair, using quality essential oils and extracts to moisturise and condition. Rosemary essential oil encourages local circulation in the scalp, and an old English recipe suggests ‘seething willow leaves in oil’ to make hair grow. This hair oil can be used to tame wild hair, or as a moisturiser before shampooing. In addition to White Willow Leaf extract from Holt Wood, the hair oil contains Prickly Ash extract to promote circulation in the scalp. In another step towards sustainable resourcing we use UK-grown White Poppy Seed Oil in this hair oil. You can also use this preparation as a beard oil.
Prunus amygdalus dulcis seed oil, Vitis vinifera seed oil, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Papaver somniferum seed oil, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil, Pogostemon cablin leaf oil, Zingiber officinale root oil, Helianthus annuus seed oil, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract, Salix alba leaf extract, Zanthoxylum americanum bark/fruit extract.
For external use only. Apply sparingly to scalp and hair. Not for use with children or in pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children.
Apply direct in small quantities to manage wayward hair or use as a pre-wash conditioner. Before washing your hair, take a small handful of Rosemary and Willow Hair Oil and work into the scalp and hair roots – this can be done the night before but make sure you have a towel to protect bedding from the oil. Supplied in a blue glass bottle with black plastic cap. Recommended shelf life is 12 months.
FEEDBACK ON ROSEMARY AND WILLOW HAIR OIL
‘My first thought was ‘what a nice smell’ and then that smell seemed to last longer than my current oil. Secondly it had all the properties that I had become used to in a beard/hair oil without being too oily …’ (August 2017).
